The collaboration came together after Ariana released her song “7 rings,” which drew comparisons to 2 Chainz’ “Spend It.” 2 Chainz acknowledged the similarities on social media and the two eventually connected through Ariana’s manager Scooter Braun. After speaking for a few hours, they ended up recording the remix to “7 rings” as well as “Rule the World,” which samples Amerie’s 2002 song “Why Don’t We Fall in Love.”
“The song feels really good. She sings like an angel,” 2 Chainz told “The Breakfast Club.” “I feel like it’s gonna be a number one record.”
Tity Boi recently performed their collaboration for the first time at his iHeartRadio Album Release Party in Los Angeles.
