Kodak Black Claims He Was Drugged And Brutalized By Federal Prison Officers While Serving Sentence

Kodak Black recently updated his social media and gave fans some insight into what’s going on with him as he sits behind bars.

Kodak said he was slipped some laced with an unknown substance and was ultimately denied medical assistance.

“On October 29th I was laced with an unknown substance here in Miami, FDC. That substance gave me an out of body experience and had me feeling like I was possessed and dying slowly. Upon this experience i managed to go to the CO’s office to seek medical Attention (As shown on surveillance cameras). I was denied ! This left me in a state of paranoia.”

Kodak mentions several physical altercations he’s gotten into with different inmates over the past couple of months as he serves his 46-month sentence.

“Shortly after I got into an altercation with an innate [sic]. This same CO who denied me medical attention, proceeded to pepper spray me which instantly impaired my vision and I was oblivious to who was punching and grabbing me repeatedly in the face,” he said. “Even after I was on the floor they continued to strike me and deploy more people.”

He also mentions his lack of access to psych meds as he tries to cope with the passing of his friend Juice Wrld.

“Having to mourn the loss of my brother Juice World behind the doors. Prior to this there were a few inmates who intentionally beat up … An officer and no charges were filed. Meanwhile I get into a fight with another inmate and this officer jumps in to inflict harm on himself and capitalize on my status as a local celebrity … I had officers tell me that the CO was ok that night and that he is trying to go this route. Because he self checked himself in the hospital. I have also heard officers tell me that the CO has been back to FDC and bragging that he will her a quarter million from me. I want to shed this light on police brutality and the tactics they use to cover their behinds.”

Wow, Kodak Black’s fans are crying foul and demanding his release.

I was beaten so brutally that I had to be taken to the Box in a wheelchair. I have been here for 45 days without commissary, hygiene stressed out and on psych meds. An 8-Year-Old Girl Was Strip Searched While Visiting A State Prison

According to CNN, an 8-year-old girl visiting her father at a Virginia prison was reportedly strip searched last month in violation of state policy.

The girl was said to be visiting her father, an inmate at Buckingham Correctional Center. The staff member requested the search because a drug-sniffing dog flagged the daughter and the adult accompanying her, which is department policy.

However, Department of Corrections policy requires that a parent or legal guardian approve the strip search of minors. In this case, an unrelated adult visitor signed off, against policy. The unrelated relative was later identified as the fathers girlfriend, but she was not legal authorized to make decisions on her behalf.

Now, the staff member who ordered the search didn’t have the authority to do so and is facing disciplinary action. Women’s rights lawyer Nicole Tortoriello spoke up about the policies that the corrections depart have in place.

“Children should never in any circumstances be subjected to an invasive, humiliating, traumatizing strip or cavity search administered by strangers while attempting to visit a loved one in a correctional facility.”

The Virginia Department of Corrections had previously been under fire for proposing tactics such as banning visitors from using tampons, menstrual pads, or other menstrual products.

Woman Facing Life In Prison After Abusing Her Boyfriends Daughter Led To Her Death

According to Fox News, an Illinois woman who abused her boyfriend’s daughter to and killed her by kicking her so hard her intestine ripped open may be spending the rest of her life behind bars.

Cynthia Baker,41, was investigated after the eight-year-old daughter of her boyfriend died from peritonitis, a condition caused by the rupturing of the intestine. Detectives found disturbing footage of Baker and Rountree abusing the child in their cellphones, which they confiscated after she was arrested.

Police found disturbing footage that included the daughter being forced to hold big cans for prolonged periods and videos of her head being slammed against the wall.

Text messages also showed that the girls father condoned the abuse. He also shared a mutual desire that she lives somewhere else without them.

Reports she that the girl suffered intestinal perforation for up to five days before she was rushed to a hospital, where she died, and that before being taken in, she vomited at dinner, could no longer see straight, and almost fell down the stairs because of her wounds were too much. Doctors also noticed that she had more than 50 marks on her body caused by child abuse.

A jury of eight women and four men deliberated for about five hours over two days before finding Baker guilty of murder, aggravated battery of a child, domestic battery and child endangerment.

She will be sentenced early next year where she will be facing life.

According to the NY Daily News, Felicity Huffman was released Friday morning from a California federal prison two days before the end of a 14 day sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal.

Huffman was released from the “low-security” prison because under the policy of the prison she was housed in, inmates scheduled for weekend release are let out on Friday.

If you recall Huffman, 56,  was sentenced last month to two weeks in prison, a $30,000 fine, 250 hours of community service and a year’s probation after she pleaded guilty to fraud and conspiracy for paying an admissions consultant $15,000 to have a proctor correct her daughter’s SAT answers.

Conspiracy to commit federal program bribery carries a maximum sentence of up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The scheme was reportedly the biggest college admissions case ever prosecuted by the Justice Department.

R. Kelly Allegedly Has Celebrity Friends Donating Toward His Legal Fund

According to Yahoo,  Kelly’s team has been behind the scenes reaching out to both fans and people in the industry in hopes to earn enough money so that he can retain high-powered defense attorney Tom Mesereau.

Reportedly, some unnamed industry members have responded to Kelly’s requests by expressing a desire to donate to his cause and help raise the funds to secure a solid defense.

It was first reported that Kelly needed monetary support in order to retain Tom Mesereau earlier this week.   Mesereau not only successfully defended actor Robert Blake (who was accused of murdering wife) but he also got Michael Jackson acquitted of his child molestation charges. Unfortunately for Kelly, his price tag is allegedly in the millions.

Kellz is looking to beat a plethora of charges stacked against him including sex crimes by the state of Illinois and federal authorities as well as indictments in Montana and possibly Detroit and Atlanta.

Man Freed From Prison After Serving 21 Years For Murder He Didn’t Commit

Another Black man was set free from prison after experiencing a tragic injustice.

According to CNN, John Miller of Pennsylvania was freed on Wednesday after spending 21 years behind bars for a crime he didn’t commit. He was only released after a star witness in the case confessed to the killing.

Miller left the State Correctional institution in Frackville after prosecutors declined to retry him, saying there wasn’t enough evidence, according to court papers.

“I’m very happy and excited that after 21 years I’m finally being heard and that my innocence has reached the surface,” Miller said in a written statement. “I’m going home to my family. I’m overwhelmed, excited, and happy.”

Miller acknowledged his attorney as the person who helped secure his release after years of claiming his innocence. He was convicted in 1997 for the October 1996 murder of Anthony Mullen during an attempted robbery outside of Philly’s 30th Street railroad station.

Mullen was shot to death, and Miller was sentenced to life in prison for second-degree murder. One David Williams served as a witness who identified Miller as the killer, according to court records. Williams told cops in exchange for leniency in another case that Miller had told him that he killed Mullen, according to court records.

However, eventually, Williams couldn’t live with his conscious. He recanted his statement even before Miller’s preliminary hearing, and “he has been confessing to Mullen’s murder for more than a decade,” the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office explained in a motion filed Monday that declined to retry Miller.

Williams even sent a letter to Miller’s mom in December 2002, saying that he was the one who committed the murder.

“I can’t live with this on my conscience. Your son had no knowledge of this crime. He wasn’t even there. I lied on him,” he wrote, according to the court.

Miller filed 10 appeals just to get all of them denied, according to his attorney Thomas Gallagher. Miller’s legal team, which also consisted of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, took on the case eight years ago and obtained evidence that hadn’t been previously laid out to Miller’s defense team, Gallagher said. The evidence raised questions about what officials knew about Williams’ initial testimony, according to court papers.

Finally, a federal judge ordered Miller’s release on July 1, subject to a decision by the district attorney on whether to carry out a new trial.

This week, the District Attorney’s Office said there was “insufficient evidence” to pursue a case against Miller. On Wednesday, a Common Pleas Court judge concurred and ordered Miller’s release.

The District Attorney’s Office has yet to say whether they’ll be pursuing charges against Williams.

Wow.

Congrats to Miller and his family.

A big F you to the continually failing justice system.
