‘American Crime Story’ Season Based On Monica Lewinsky & Bill Clinton Scandal Coming To FX

American Crime Story will continue to dive into all the seedy details of America’s most talked about stories. After covering the O.J. Simpson trial and the murder of Gianni Versace, the FX show will now take on the Monica Lewinsky scandal with former president Bill Clinton and his eventual impeachment.

According to Variety, the season is based off the book by Jeffrey Toobin called A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President. Beanie Feldstein will play Monica Lewinsky, while Sarah Paulson will take on Linda Tripp and Annaleigh Ashford will play Paula Jones.

The show will be written by Sarah Burgess who will also executive produce with Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, Larry Karaszewski, Scott Alexander, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Paulson.

Monica Lewinsky will also serve as a producer.

John Landgraf, chairman of FX Networks and FX Productions, explained:

“FX’s ‘American Crime Story’ franchise has become a cultural touchstone, providing greater context for stories that deserve greater understanding like the O.J. Simpson trial and saga, and Andrew Cunanan’s tragic crime spree which concluded with the assassination of Gianni Versace. This franchise re-examines some of the most complicated, polarizing stories in recent history in a way that is relevant, nuanced and entertaining. ‘Impeachment: American Crime Story’ will likewise explore the overlooked dimensions of the women who found themselves caught up in the scandal and political war that cast a long shadow over the Clinton Presidency.”

The show will go into production in February 2020 with a premiere date of September 27, 2020.

Gross: Sen. Mitch McConnell Supporters Are Caught “Groping And Choking” Cutout Of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Senate Legislators Speak To The Media After Their Weekly Policy Luncheons

Teens Wearing “Team Mitch” Shirt Are Photographed Groping And Choking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Cutout

Once again, Republican voters are being mad trash and racist and sexist to the left-leaning women in Congress with any balls, also known as The Squad.

In a recent instance, a picture surfaced online of a group of White guys wearing shirts for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell‘s re-election campaign. One of the guys in the photo is groping a cardboard cutout of Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez while another is fake-choking her. The rest of the young men in the photo are posing with a thumbs down beside her.

Ocasio-Cortez saw the picture and retweeted it tagging McConnell and witing:

Hey @senatemajldr– these young men look like they work for you. Just wanted to clarify: are you paying for young men to practice groping & choking members of Congress w/ your payroll, or is this just the standard culture of #TeamMitch? Thanks.”

McConnell’s campaign manager, Kevin Golden, told The Washington Post that the young guys were not affiliated with them:

“These young men are not campaign staff, they’re high schoolers and it’s incredible that the national media has sought to once again paint a target on their backs rather than report real, and significant news in our country.”

Golden also said that the campaign “in no way condones” the photo. However, in true political finger-pointing fashion, he still had to redirect blame to Democrats, referring to an instance where former President Barack Obama‘s speechwriter was caught groping a cutout of Hillary Clinton.

“Team Mitch in no way condones any aggressive, suggestive, or demeaning act toward life sized cardboard cut outs of any gender in a manner similar to what we saw from President Obama’s speechwriting staff several years ago,” Golden said.

He continued:

“We’ve watched for years as the far-left and the media look for every possible way to demonize, stereotype, and publicly castigate every young person who dares to get involved with Republican politics.”

An apology and calling out of your constituents would’ve sufficed.

But tis politics.

It should also be noted that some of the same teens in the picture above were also captured in a pic posted to McConnell’s campaign Instagram. They’re holding up posters of Supreme Cout Justices Neil M. Gorsuch and Bett M. Kavanaugh…the same man accused of sexual assault and misconduct and still got his Supreme Court nomination.

Dem Debates 2020: Kamala Harris Gets Slammed On Messy Criminal Justice History While Protest Erupts For Eric Garner

Democratic Debates: Kamala Harris Grilled Over Attorney General History While Protestors Demand Daniel Pantaleo Be Fired

A lot went down on Night 2 of the second Democratic presidential debates, and much of the spice was aimed at former vice president Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris.

In one instance, Sen. Cory Booker and Biden were comparing past measures on criminal justice and while Booker took shots at Biden’s major role in the punitive 1994 crime bill, Biden clapped back by accusing Booker of allowing the Newark police to use “stop and frisk” tactics that disproportionately targeted Black people.

Booker had a response for this:

“You’re dipping into the Kool-Aid and you don’t even know the flavor.”

Uuuum…okay Cory.

Booker went on to argue that he inherited a broken police force and “embraced” reforms. Peep the interaction below.

Probably one of the biggest grills from the night regarding criminal justice came from Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. She methodically ripped into Sen. Kamala Harris’ troubling history as California’s attorney general, one which involved preventing more people from leaving prison. Peep the bloodbath below.

With all the drama going on, politicians were put under more pressure when protests interrupted the debate calling for Daniel Pantaleo, the cop who killed Eric Garner, to be fired.

Folks re not playing this election season. As they shouldn’t.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren Gives Viral Hand Rub At Presidential Primary Debate

Sen. Elizabeth Warren will take your rich dollars now.

The senator made a big splash at the presidential primary debate on Tuesday, pushing her far-left policies and not backing down against anyone who challenged her.

When the topic of taxing the rich came up, the presidential candidate couldn’t hide her excitement. CNN anchor and debate moderator Don Lemon posed a question to Rep. John Delaney, asking whether Warren’s proposed wealth tax was a fair way to fund child care and education:

“Your estimated net worth is more than $65 million,” Lemon told Delaney. “That would make you subject to Sen. Warren’s proposed wealth tax on the assets of the richest 75,000 homes, households or so in the United States. Do you think Senator Warren’s wealth tax is a fair way to fund child care and education?”

Warren was clearly excited about possibly getting Delaney’s over $65 million taxable assets because she giddily rubbed her hands together when the question was posed. Peep the incident below.

The Internet immediately stanned.

And a GIF was born.

That wasn’t it for Liz’s viral moments either. She also dropped this gem against Delaney:

“I don’t understand why anybody goes to all the trouble of running for president of the United States just to talk about what we really can’t do and shouldn’t fight for. I don’t get it.”

Hit the flip for more hilarious takes on Liz’s epic hand rub, wealth tax and her laid out plan to come for candidates’ wigs.

Republican Lawmaker Resigns Reportedly After Grindr History Surfaces

A Republican politicians who was pushing straight “family values” is now under the microscope after allegations of hooking up with younger guys.

According to Nashville Scene, State Rep. Bill Sanderson unexpectedly announced on Tuesday night that he’d be resigning. According to his words, he’s resigning so he can better tend to his business, White Squirrel Winery, according to The Tennessean. He also said his son-in-law was recently diagnosed with cancer and he couldn’t justify the time he’d be spending in Nashville.

Now all of this might be true. But some rumors have been swirling around that there’s more to the story.

Another report from Cari Wade Gervin argues that Sanderson was dipping and dabbing in the gay hookup app Grindr:

“Since he took office in 2011, Tennessee state Rep. Bill Sanderson (R-Kenton) has voted repeatedly in favor of legislation designed to harm the LGBT community. During that same time period, the 59-year-old Sanderson has also been openly soliciting sex with much younger men on Grindr, a gay hook-up and dating app, both from his home in West Tennessee and in Nashville.”

Gervin even says that in Sanderson’s 2013 Grindr profile, he wrote:

“I’ve seen a lot and done a lot, but I really haven’t had a connection with a guy and I have a burning desire to have that relationship. I like down and dirty guy to guy play too! So, I guess you might say, nothing will be held back.”

Oh reeeally?

Now granted, Gervin didn’t publish any messages or photos from Sanderson on the app, however she recounts them in detail from sources who told her about Sanderson’s encounters and communication with younger men. She also says Sanderson denies all this tea, and that he begged her not to run her story in an interview she also plans on publishing.

Gervin adds that the local ABC affiliate, WKRN, carried out an interview in 2016 with a guy who connected with Sanderson via Grindr but never published the story, reportedly after pressure form Sanderson.

Well, it seems the truth is going to come out one way or another. Guess we’ll have to wait until the final bombs drop.

The U.KKK: New British Prime Minister Boris Johnson Has Said The Most Racist Of Racistest Things Imaginable

Boris Johnson

New British Prime Minister Boris Johnson Has A History Of Vile Racist Language

The racist right is unfortunately on the rise…globally.

According to CNN, Boris Johnson has just been named the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after a leadership contest and considering his history, he could be just as horrible as He Who Shall Not Be Named Occupying The White House. A lot of U.K.ers are completely and utterly not here for Johnson, to the point where a #NotMyPM hashtag has popped off.

A lot of Johnson’s racist reputation started building when he was a member of British Parliament in 2002. A lot of his comments where made towards Africa.

Granted, he tried to apologize during his mayoral campaign in 2008 (of course) when he said he “loathed and despised” racism and continued:

“I do feel very sad that people have been so offended by these words and I’m sorry that I’ve caused this offense.”

But when you peep some of the things he’s said, his apology will be shriveled to un-pigmented sawdust. Hit the flip for some of his racist and just plain grotesque words, all aimed at African countries or groups.

Whoops! Kamala Harris Inadvertently Steps In The Middle Of Taylor Swift’s Mayo Splattered Beef With Scooter Braun

Scooter Braun Hosts Kamala Harris Fundraiser And Taylor Swift Fans Object

Sunday night Scooter Braun hosted a fundraiser for Kamala Harris billed as a fireside chat that was attended by his friends/clients Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande.

Scooter shared several photos from the event on his social media…

Not everyone was happy to learn of the event.

One twitter user responded to photos from the event saying:

If @KamalaHarris thinks this will get her votes she is delusional and @scooterbraun is a thief who uses these women to advance his bank account just like Kamala used a man to advance her career.

It wasn’t the only negative tweet to go out about Braun, who came under direct fire from Swifties and Taylor Swift herself after purchasing the singer’s masters recently.

References to the beef popped up throughout social media, with some users warning Harris that her alignment with Braun could cost her politically.

BUT as several outlets jumped to cover the Swifties “outrage” some fans of Swift countered that the reports were just propaganda to further Braun’s agenda.

The only people saying sh** about Taylor Swift supposedly being ~upset~ about the Kamala Harris fundraiser is Scooter Braun and his team, hoping to start more negative discussion about Taylor & her morals when in reality Taylor has always supported Kamala and her work

What do you think? Is Kamala hurting her chances by accepting support from Braun and his clients? Or is this all much ado about nothing?

New Era: Oregon Bill Passes That’ll Allow Students To Take Mental Health Days Off

Oregon Students Will Be Able To Take A Mental Health Day Off Thanks To New Bill

A new Oregon law will be the first of its kind when it’ll allow students to take a mental health day off.

According to the Associated Press, the law expands the reasons for excused school absences to include regular sick days as well as mental or behavioral health days.

Students who helped push the measure say the law was crafted to change the stigma around mental health in a state that has some of the highest suicide rates in the U.S. Mental health specialists say it’s one of the first state laws to explicitly mandate schools to treat physical health and mental health equally. Last year, Utah passed a similar law.

The Oregon bill was signed by Gov. Kate Brown last month and it serves as the latest win for youth activists from around the state who were active in politics this year. Along with the mental health initiative, they also lobbied for legislation strengthening gun control and lowering the voting age, both of which didn’t have success.

One 18-year-old activist, Haily Hardcastle, explained the mental health bill, saying they were partially motivated by the tragic Parkland, Florida school shooting and the activism that followed:

“We were inspired by Parkland in the sense that it showed us that young people can totally change the political conversation,” she said. “Just like those movements, this bill is something completely coming from the youth.”

Under state law, students can have up to five absences excused within a three month period. Anything more than this would require a written excuse to the principal.

When it comes to handling pushback from parents who say the new law might coddle kids or encourage them to lie, Hardcastle said kids will take the same days off with or without the new law. However, she said they might be less likely to lie about why they’re missing days if schools formally recognize mental health in their attendance policies.

“Why should we encourage lying to our parents and teachers?” she said. “Being open to adults about our mental health promotes positive dialogue that could help kids get the help they need.”

Scarface Says He Wants To Run For Mayor, Governor & President

Scarface is entering the world of politics and he seems to have longterm goals.

Earlier this month, the Houston rapper and Geto Boys member announced that he was running for Houston City Council for District D.

Now, in a talk with Fader, Scarface (running as Brad Jordan), talked more about why he got into politics and his plans for the future.

He says he’s been thinking of running for Houston City Council since 2017, and he hopes it will be a pathway to a mayoral run, gubernatorial run, and eventually a presidential run.

“I wanna take it upon myself to fix the situation. I think I have some new, fresh ideas. I think that the traditional way of doing politics is over now,” he said. “Let’s come up with some real solutions. Let’s serve the underserved. That’s where I’m at right now.”

The issues Jordan is running on include making the neighborhood safer for everyone (particularly the elderly), getting rid of illegal dumping, and offering trade opportunities to young people that may not go to college so they can obtain a livable wage.

In the interview, Jordan also revealed that he didn’t vote in the 2016 presidential elections:

“I didn’t have a candidate that I wanted to get behind. My candidate was out of the race.”

Jordan also talked about his relationship with Geto Boys group-mate Bushwick Bill, who passed this month.

“We never had a bad relationship, we just bumped heads like rams. But all in all, we were alright. Him passing, as sad as it is, that’s just something we have to look forward to in life. We’re not gonna live forever. I was blessed enough to know that little dude,” he said. “A brilliant little soul. He was smart, and he was very difficult to deal with. He was extremely set in his ways, and you had to respect Bill. We gon’ miss him.”

Ta-Nehisi Coates Explains Reparations & Systematic Racism To Sen. Mitch McConnell At House Hearing

Ta-Nehisi Coates had TIME for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell when he tried to come for reparations.

On Wednesday, Coates testified at a house hearing on the bill known as H.R. 40, which would create a commission to study the history of slavery, its continual effects on Black people, and the practical implementation of reparations.

Republican Senator McConnell is not about reparations, however, saying:

“I don’t think reparations for something that happened 150 years ago for whom none of us living are responsible are a good idea.”

Um…have a seat malignant McConnell.

Mr. Coates will school you now.

The author of “A Case For Reparations” went into a well detailed and quite powerful testimony on Wednesday, explaining how reparations for slavery and systematic racism is, in fact, America’s responsibility.

He started off by using taxes as an example:

“Many of us would love to be taxed for the things we are solely and individually responsible for. But we are American citizens, and thus bound to a collective enterprise that extends beyond our individual and personal reach.”

Next, Mr. Coates beautifully laid out how Black Americans BEEN having wealth stripped away and yes, we are owed da fuq our money. In response to McConnell’s “no one alive” is responsible claim, Coates explained:

“It is tempting to divorce this modern campaign of terror, of plunder, from enslavement, but the logic of enslavement, of white supremacy, respects no such borders and the guard of bondage was lustful and begat many heirs. Coup d-états and convict leasing. Vagrancy laws and debt peonage. Redlining and racist G.I. bills. Poll taxes and state-sponsored terrorism. We grant that Mr. McConnell was not alive for Appomattox. But he was alive for the electrocution of George Stinney. He was alive for the blinding of Isaac Woodard. He was alive to witness kleptocracy in his native Alabama and a regime premised on electoral theft. Majority Leader McConnell cited civil-rights legislation yesterday, as well he should, because he was alive to witness the harassment, jailing, and betrayal of those responsible for that legislation by a government sworn to protect them. He was alive for the redlining of Chicago and the looting of black homeowners of some $4 billion. Victims of that plunder are very much alive today. I am sure they’d love a word with the majority leader.”

Knock, knock. How’s your schedule looking Mitch?
