It seems like everyday, someone randomly drops some sort of “prestigious” list that leaves the Internet in shambles. Earlier this year, there was a whole debate about Joe Budden landing the number three spot on the Best Rappers Alive list. Now, T.I. is throwing his hat in the ring with his own special hip hop list.
On Thursday, Tip stopped by Studio One ATL to give the scoop on his new Netflix show Rhythm & Flow, and was asked if he had to create a Mount Rushmore of Atlanta Hip Hop, whose face would grace the statue? After giving his breakdown about the idea of “fact vs opinion”, the Grand Hustle CEO responded:
“I’m up there. I feel like it’s me, Andre 3000. Big Boi.”
But it didn’t end there. Check out the full video above to see who else made the list. And catch Rhythm & Flow streaming now on Netflix.
YesJulz is back at it again. We thought she’d been banished to the alabaster abyss long ago for her culture vulturism but she just won’t go away. On Tuesday, she launched a horrible Outkast take that has gotten her destroyed.
“Earthgang is like the OutKast of this generation only with two Andre’s. I’m so here for it.
& don’t f*** @ me.”
Well, she got @’ed. Because what the hell is an Outkast with two Andres? And is she really out here minimizing Big Boi? Ma’am. Seats. Take them.
Y’all are debating OutKast vs EarthGang because of a tweet from YesJulz? Of ALL people on Angela Bassett’s Internet?
OutKast Gets Back Together For Big Boi’s Son’s Graduation
It’s graduation season, which means friends and family are reuniting for the academic success of their young ones. The same goes for hip hop as two of the most celebrated rappers came together for a major achievement.
According to WSB-TV, Big Boi and Andre 3000 reconnected for the graduation of Big Boi’s son Cross. The OutKast duo celebrated the decorated teen who graduated with honors from Woodward Academy in College Park.
“It’s been 1 hell of a journey , raising 3 Kids , private school to College Degrees , never woulda thought this Rap Sh** would have brought me here , To God be the Glory , #ThanksJesus Let’s Go Cross !” Big Boi captioned an Instagram post with pictures of his son.
Big Boi Officially Buys “The Dungeon”, Birthplace Of Outkast’s Music Career
Big-Boi just bought back a piece of history that was very near & dear to him. Half of the Outkast collective recently secured a new piece of ATL property, “The Dungeon”, where the Dungeon Family once recorded most of their formative music.
The historic house was originally the property of producer Rico Wade’s mother and most notably featured a studio in the basement, where ATL royalty Organized Noize, Goodie Mob, Big Rube, EJ, Outkast, and Backbone developed their sound.
