UMG France Says New Music From Rihanna Is Coming In December

Earlier this week, Universal Music Group France held its annual “open session” event. The event is alone the lines of an investor meeting, but more open to the public.

Throughout the day, investors discuss how the year is going thus for and collaborate on how they are gonna close out the year with a bang. But for anyone familiar with the state of the music industry right now, “bang” might be an understatement with the slate they announced at the event.

According to reports from Hiphop-N-More, UMG has promised that Rihanna’s highly anticipated follow-up to her last album ANTI is set to release in December. This comes after her Navy’s been BEGGING Rih for new music and after they’ve been calling her the Avon Lady for selling her Fenty Beauty line.

Even though that news would be enough to hold anyone over for a few months, the label wasn’t done there. They gifted fans with even more news that is sure to cause a stir.

Before Rih shakes the table in December, the end of the year will also bring new releases from huge artists like Drake, Kanye West (who is scheduled to release his next project on Sept. 27) Migos and The Weeknd.

We’ll never know what exactly to expect from a Rihanna album, but we do have some idea from what she’s hinted at this year. Back in June, the entrepreneur told Interview Mag that she’s working on a Reggae influenced album.

But at the end of the day, we’ll take whatever Rih wants to give us.

New Fyre Fest Lawsuit Lists Damn Near Everyone On The Bill

Even though it’s almost 2020, people still are holding on to hope they’ll see any reimbursement from the ill-fated Fyre Festival.

This time around, the legal strike comes from a Fyre Fest Bankruptcy Trustee. The new lawsuit is aimed at getting payouts from several of high profile artists and models involved with the event, even if they weren’t involved directly.

According to reports from Fox NewsBlink 182 and their talent agency, Creative Arts Agency, are being sued to the tune of $500,000. While ICM–who represents Rae Sremmurd, Lil Yachty and Migos–are also being sued for their payouts to participate in the festival. Even further, the Nue Agency, who represents Pusha T, Tyga, and Desiigner, is also being sued for a whopping $730,000. The Festival director Yaron Lavi (who probably thought he got away from this disaster scot-free) was also sued for $315,000.

The trustee also issued lawsuits to models who promoted the event including Kendall Jenner for $275,000 and Emily Ratajkowski, who is being sued for $300,000. As for the models, they’re essentially being hit for promoting the festival, because obviously, the investors weren’t smart enough to research on their own.

Now, these investors feel like everyone involved that helped Billy Mcfarland defraud them need to pay up and they feel they deserve reimbursement at the expense of the talent and celebrities involved.
