Kanye West Performs Sunday Service For Inmates Of Houston’s Harris County Jail [Video]
Kanye West took time away from his Wyoming compound to head to Houston, Texas where his new era of “Jesus Is King” will take on the boss of worship Joel Osteen. Ye’s “Sunday Service” lost its trademark battle but seems to be winning over every crowd it sees. From Atlanta to Chicago to New Orleans, to even Jamaica the services have received praise. Minus the MAGA rant at Howard homecoming, Ye has been focused on spreading the word of Jesus.
While in Houston Kanye was able to pull off a last-minute performance in a very surprising place. Ye & his Sunday Service choir did a surprise performance at the Harris County jail. From the looks of it, the performance touched a lot of people. One service was for the male inmates and another was performed for the female inmates. In the video below you can see Ye take time to shake the hand of each inmate. According to TMZ the whole thing only took 48 hours to set up and get clearance.
Law enforcement sources tell us Kanye reached out on Wednesday to set the whole thing up … the jail has a very popular religious program. We’re told Kanye brought about 100 choir and band members. He performed two separate shows — one for male inmates and one for females — each crowd was couple hundred people.

With booty meats shaking, liquor flowing, playa’s hitting the tables, the McIntosh Townhouse was transformed into an experiential event featuring seven sinful rooms – pride, wrath, envy, indolence, gourmand, greed and lust.

Summer Walk Scales Back Remaining Tour Dates To Focus On Her Health
When you’re on the come up the fans love you and support everything you do with no hating or criticism, but the second they feel you have arrived is when everything starts going downhill. For Summer Walker this is exactly what happened. This past month people have complained about her Tiny Desk episode, called her most recent performances “lackluster”, complained about her being late to her performances, and most recently hated on her “attitude” in her meet & greats.
The majority of Summer’s time has been defending herself when she really doesn’t have to. However, consumers never understand and we are in the age of entitlement. After her latest fiasco about her meet & greets Summer is ready to scale back her tour to keep herself mentally healthy.
She took to instagram to post:
I truly appreciate all the support and love. As you know, I have been very open about my struggle with social anxiety. I want to continue to be healthy and to make music for y’all, so I have decided to cut down some of the dates on the tour. I hope you all can understand. I’m grateful for every single one of you, and I hope that you understand that wellness/mental health is important. All cancelled dates will be refunded asap. Thank you. Remaining Dates I’m playing:
Nov 12 San Francisco
Nov 25 Toronto
Nov 26 Chicago
Nov 27 Royal Oak
Dec 2 Boston
Dec 5 Philadelphia
Dec 7 NYC
Dec 8 NYC
Dec 22 ATL
Hope the new schedule can help her recover from the entitled fans attacks thrown her way. She isn’t and won’t be the last artist to adjust and refocus during a heavy touring schedule. Hopefully, once her tour is over we can get new music from her in which she can express what’s going on behind the scenes in her life and let fans in so they finally hopefully understand.
Summer Walker being criticized and invalidated for cancelling her tour due to her social anxiety is yet another example of how female artists’ mental health isn’t valued. Y’all show the utmost respect for every Kid Cudi and Mac Miller but don’t give a shit about women’s wellbeing https://t.co/eiv7hBj64B
Lawyers for the incarcerated rapper filed court papers last week saying that a lowball sentence of three to three and a half years in prison would be appropriate for his admitted crime of lying on a gun sales application even though he was banned from purchasing firearms because he’s out on bond for rape charges involving a high school student.
The 22-year-old artist pled guilty over the summer to one count of making a false statement in connection with the acquisition or attempted acquisition of a firearm. The maximum sentence for the crime is 10 years.
Black’s legal team argued that their client’s gun charge was a crime of deception rather than possession and that he took full responsibility once he was arrested. They said gang members had been making death threats against him and his staff were so fearful that they started ferrying him around in a bulletproof car.
Black’s lawyers also cited his poverty-stricken upbringing in the projects, the fact that he’s supporting and parenting his toddler son, King and his charitable work for children in his native South Florida.
The judge will sentence the “Tunnel Vision” rapper later this week.
