Lil Wayne Says Kawhi Leonard Can’t Be King Of LA Because Of Lebron [Video]
Lil Wayne usually is a secretive person who doesn’t offer up a lot in the crazy age of social media. The last few times we’ve heard he speak in interview format with open questions were with Elliott Wilson for his #CRWN series which Wayne seems to enjoy. Everyone in the entertainment business has always been quick to tell the world how smart Lil Wayne is incase people don’t expect that from him due to appearance. In Deion Sanders recent interview on Complex “Full Size Run” he went in detail how smart Wayne is almost wishing the world got to experience it. Wayne has even stayed silent over the rumors he proposed to Australian model La’Tecia Thomas. She hasn’t confirmed or denied either but has been sporting a flashy “Carter” necklace and Lil Wayne unreleased merch since the rumors sparked. One of the only times Wayne broke character was when he went public on social media with his displeasure being signed to Cash Money after spending his whole life carrying the label on his back.
Now that the label debacle is behind him the only tweets you’ll find on Lil Waynes twitter are sports related. Wayne has invested most of his time in sports & his Young Money Sports management agency. Sports has always been one of Lil Wayne biggest interest so its no surprise the majority of his last televised appearances have been on sports related shows. Recently he dropped by Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe & Skip Bayless. During the episode Wayne came completely out of his quiet gangster persona to address all the Clippers fans and NBA fans worldwide. Wayne was having not parts of all this talk about Kawhi Leonard being called the king of Los Angeles. Wayne declared Lebron James will forever be the king of Los Angeles as long as he is played with the Lakers. Wayne’s disbelief that anyone would think different showed visibly on his face that instant became a meme on twitter.
When Skip tried to make talking points that Kawhi should be in the conversation around king of LA Wayne shut down every single point Skip had on his notes. While discussing the Lakers being a better team Wayne even got passionate referring to the Lakers as “we” instead of saying “them” as if he was on the team himself. The whole segment made for must see TV which you can watch below!
Lil Wayne Allegedly Engaged To Aussie Plus-Size Model La’Tecia Thomas
Lil Wayne has always been one to stay out the spotlight and let the music talk for itself.
Since the release of his long-awaited project Tha Carter 5, the most we’ve seen from Weezy is last minute performance cancellations and dope content to promote his liquor brand, Bambu. As far as Wayne’s love life goes, we NEVER hear directly from him about his current boo. Occasionally, the women themselves will start to drop so many hits that social media just has to say, “We get it sis, you’re with Wayne.”
While his last fiancé Dhea Sodano kept a very low profile and rarely was seen anywhere, the woman he’s rumored to be with now is quite the opposite. Rumors are going wild that Wayne is allegedly engaged to a new lady: none other than Aussie plus-size model La’Tecia Thomas, who is thicker than a Snicker with curves in all the right places.
And if Wayne isn’t actually engaged to her, we know she has all the assets to change his mind.
Atlanta Radio station Streetz94.5 was one of the first outlets to break the news, stating:
“There have been bits of gossip swirling around concerning Weezy and La’Tecia relationship for certain months now. In any case, a couple of weeks back, she paraded an enormous ring on her hand and uncovered to fans that she’s locked in.”
Neither Wayne nor La’Tecia have confirmed that they’re engaged–or together in any capacity–but in true Wayne-lover fashion, she’s dropped more hints than a kid trying to tell you what they want for Christmas.
In her Instagram comments, she makes sure to respond to any comment about her new enormous ring.
Not only that, since rumors started surfacing, she’s uploaded photos of herself in Lil Wayne merchandise multiple times, and of course, she’s dropped a few stories in what many are saying is Lil Wayne’s house.
If these rumors are true, congrats to the happy couple! If not, Wayne better smarten up–ain’t nothing out here in these streets and La’Tecia is more than a thick waist and pretty face, she has her own coins and a career to go with it.
You can learn more about La’Tecia on her Youtube Channel, here.
Lil Waynes ‘Lil Weezyana” Festival Ends With Stampede & Looting
This past weekend, Lil Wayne held his annual Lil WeezyAna Festival in his hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The rapper had a star-studded lineup that included the likes of Akbar-V, Megan Thee Stallion, Trey Songz, Meek Mill, Travis Scott, and of course Weezy was the headliner. The event was also live streamed on Tidal for those who couldn’t be in attendance. But even luckier for those not in attendance is the fact that they avoided a seriously dangerous ending.

According to Kieth Sepra of the Times-Picayune, the night became chaotic when the festival crowd began to panic and rush the exits. Police believe a fight or a false rumors of a gun shot caused the panic that took place. During the stampede, concession workers ended up rushing the exits as well, which caused a few quick-thinkers to start raiding the cash registers and liquor storage, making off with most of their money and liquor that was unguarded.
Multiple attendees ended up being injured in the stampede, which saw barriers get destroyed and tables being overturned. Concession areas were plagued by theft amid the ruckus and employees abandoned their booths in fear of their safety. Luckily, no major injuries were reported from the estimated 15,000 in attendance. For those that sustained minor injuries, Weezy & company had onsite medical staff that was able to handle any issues they had.

Birdman & Juvenile Release “Ride Dat” Featuring Lil Wayne
After the success of “J.A.G” Birdman & Juvenile are back in the booth prepping for their follow up, “I’m On My Sh*t”.
The recent success of the two collaborators is backed by nearly 20 years of chemistry and Cash Money “bidness”. Their latest offering “Ride Dat” features a familiar family member in former Cash Money artist Lil Wayne.
If you don’t already know, for the past years, things have been just a liiiiitle bit rocky between Cash Money & Lil Wayne–but luckily for us fans, that seems to be water under the bridge.
This song marks the first time the three rappers have recorded together following Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh’s 2016 cut “Hate.”
You can listen to their new song together, “Ride Dat” down below:
Columbia Records recording artist Jozzy released his new song “Sucka Free” featuring rap icon Lil Wayne. Long known for her writing career, Jozzy, who wrote Billy Ray Cyrus’s verse on Lil Nas X’s chart topping smash “Old Town Road” and Jacquees’s “You”, has also worked with and written for Pharrell, Chris Martin, 21 Savage, French Montana, Mary J. Blige, Ella Mai, Little Mix and Usher amongst many others. Taking a break from writing hits for others, Jozzy shares “Sucka Free”, her first effort as an artist from her forthcoming major label debut album. Check it out here, let us know if ya rocking with it!
Lil Wayne talks about buying his first Mercedes-Benz at age 15, how Birdman bought him a BMW Z3 drop top soon thereafter, and how his Bentley broke down at a daiquiri shop. In the topic of Michael vs. Prince, he chooses Michael Jackson and talks about dressing up as MJ as a kid, with one sock on and his grandmother’s wig! Although the regarded “greatest rapper alive” doesn’t do many on camera sit downs, his interviews are also entertaining, and somewhat informative. Weezy claims he gotta choose checks over stripes because thats what the girls liked to see him draw in high school, and they would ask him to draw a Nike check on the cover of their folder, making the brand a chick magnet. If that’s not a good reason to be team Nike, I don’t know what is. Check out the full interview and let us know your thoughts!
