“Out of respect for Nipsey, I will be postponing the release of the new music I planned on releasing this month,” she said.

Instead, it will now be released in May. “Now that we gotta deal with Big bro goin to heaven I will not drop the album this month,” he wrote.

Boosie Badazz Arrested on Drug and Gun Charges

Boosie Badazz has been arrested on drug and gun charges following a traffic stop in Georgia.

The 36-year-old rapper and another man, named Antonio Allen, were reportedly pulled over Monday afternoon (April 8) when a sheriff’s deputy noticed a white Dodge Charger driving erratically, swerving lanes and nearly sideswiping another vehicle, according to TMZ. Police noticed a strong marijuana smell coming from the vehicle, which was reportedly driven by Boosie.

“The song is country trap. It’s not one, it’s not the other. It’s both. It should be on both,” Lil Nas X told TIME. “I believe whenever you’re trying something new, it’s always going to get some kind of bad reception.”

Just last week, Lil Nas X released the official remix to his genre-bending hit featuring country legend Billy Ray Cyrus.

Nipsey Hussle’s Family Announces ‘Celebration of Life’ Memorial

Nipsey Hussle’s family and friends will gather to celebrate his life during a memorial this week.

Less than two weeks after his death, the Crenshaw rapper will be remembered at his “Celebration of Life” at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 11, starting at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available for free beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. via AXS.com.

A flyer was posted on Nipsey’s social accounts and features the late rapper in all white with wings. “Join Us for the Celebration of the Life & Legacy of Nipsey Hussle,” it reads.

Tickets are reserved for California residents only and there is a four ticket limit per household. Out of respect to the family, cameras and recording devices will not be allowed inside the venue. Everyone will be subject to metal detector screening, visual inspection, and bag inspection.

Following the Clippers’ final NBA game of the season on Wednesday, the 21,000-seat arena will be set up to accommodate mourners during the two-hour event. Doors will open at 8 a.m.

Last week, it was reported that Nipsey’s family was looking for a venue large enough to accommodate his massive fan base and had considered The Forum in Inglewood before deciding on Staples, where Michael Jackson’s memorial was held in 2009.

Nipsey was shot and killed outside of his Marathon Clothing store on Sunday (April 1). His alleged shooter, Eric Holder, has been charged with murder.

Kendrick Lamar Seemingly Disses Big Sean in Leaked Snippet

Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean’s rumored beef is back in the headlines.

On Friday (April 5), an unreleased snippet of a Kendrick track surfaced (via XXL), on which he appears to be taking shots at the Detroit MC. “I think his false confidence got him inspired / I can’t make them respect you baby, it’s not my job,” raps K-Dot on the 11-second clip. “You finally famous for who you date, not how you rhyme / Cute ass rhymes get your puberty up.”

While certainly up for speculation, the TDE rapper uses the phrase “finally famous,” which is the title of Sean’s Finally Famous mixtape series. Sean has also been romantically attached to several high-profile celebrities including Naya Rivera, Ariana Grande, and Jhené Aiko.

Kendrick and Sean were rumored to have beef following their 2013 collaboration “Control,” where K-Dot called out several MCs including Sean on his explosive verse. Since then, there has seemingly been friction between the two.

In a 2017 interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Sean maintained that he had the better “Control” verse over Kendrick. “No he didn’t. Stop it. Stop it,” he told Charlamagne Tha God when challenged. “How long ago was that? What year is this? And I still don’t feel like I got washed anyway, ni**a.”

There was also speculation that Kendrick was dissing Sean on “The Heart Part 4.” “My fans can’t wait for me to son ya punk ass and crush your whole lil’ shit / I’ll Big Pun ya punk ass, you a scared lil’ bitch,” he rapped on the 2017 track.

The origins of the newly-leaked clip are unclear. According to XXL, it may be from a demo version of Kendrick’s DAMN. song “ELEMENT.”

Kanye West Teases Nicki Minaj Collaboration ‘New Body’

Kanye West and Nicki Minaj are cooking up another collaboration.

After first teasing the track last fall, Kanye provided another confirmation about the long-awaited Yandhi track. During last night’s episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Ye revealed how the song, tentatively titled “New Body,” came together while he was in New York for “SNL” in September.

While in the studio with Kim, Kanye called up Nicki to see if she would be interested in hopping on the track. “This is gonna be fire,” he said while FaceTiming with Minaj, who was more than excited.

“I’m gonna say some real ass shit that bitches need to hear too and that they want to say and be feeling like they can’t say,” said Nicki. “Let me start working on this because I’m really excited. And Kanye, thank you so much.”

During the episode’s airing, Kim took to Twitter to praise Nicki. “Nicki really is the goat! @NICKIMINAJ We FaceTimed her and within an hour she had written the song and it’s soooo [fire],” she tweeted.

Last October, Kanye spoke about the track, which is about body shaming. “It’s a Ye concept but I’ma say it to y’all right now. I’m taking two stigmas at once because I love taking stigmas and flipping ’em to a positive—negative energy to a positive,” he told TMZ.

This would not be the first collaboration between Kanye and Nicki. The two worked together on “Monster” and Nicki’s vocals also appear on “Violent Crimes” off last year’s ye.

Kanye has been working on his long-awaited album Yandhi. In addition to Minaj, he has reportedly been in the studio with collaborators including Lil Wayne, Migos, Timbaland, 2 Chainz, and Tee Grizzley.

Teairra Mari Responds to 50 Cent with ‘I Ain’t Got It’ Diss

Teairra Mari is firing back at 50 Cent with her very own diss track.

After trolling her on social media for not paying his $30,000 judgement, the “Love & Hip Hop” star has decided to give the rap mogul a taste of his own medicine by releasing a response. On “I Ain’t Got It,” the R&B singer tells 50 that he will never see his money because she simply doesn’t have it.

“No, I ain’t got it / Oh boy I’m poppin’,” she sings. “I’m taking off like a rocket for 30,000 / That’s what y’all loaned.”

Teairra, who has also launched a line of T-shirts with her “I Ain’t Got It” phrase, has more words for Curtis. “Y’all some lame ass ni**as / I’m a Detroit bitch,” she sings. “Fuck these hatin’ ass hoes / Tell ’em all get off my dick.”

50 has been chasing his check since winning the revenge porn lawsuit filed against him by Teairra. In January, a Los Angeles judge dismissed all claims against the rapper and ordered that Mari pay $30,618 to cover part of 50’s legal bills. Last month, he served her with legal papers, but still hasn’t seen payment.

Taking to Instagram, Teairra posted a series of photos trolling 50 including one of him next to his former friend Floyd Mayweather. “GREAT NEWS!!! @50cent I spoke to @floydmayweather He said you can be his belt boy again 🏆🥊 IF you behave yourself and carry his jock strap on your head..Sheriff Curtis,” she wrote alongside the hashtags #GetTheStrapOn and #GetThisJockStrap.

50 returned fire on Instagram, posting a photo of Teairra with the words “Come Dumpster” written over her mouth. “The courts will get the message your sending with these antics,” he wrote, adding, “You little come dumpster.”

But 50 intends to get his money. According to The Blast, he has been granted an order for Teairra to show up to court and provide financial records, so he can determine which assets can be seized to pay off the debt. He wants a financial examination of her income, bank accounts, and property.

6ix9ine Could Be Released From Prison Early

6ix9ine may be out of prison sooner than expected.

The embattled rapper is hoping to be released before the end of the year, but he needs the cooperation of the other defendants he snitched on.

Five defendants, including Tekashi and his former manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, have already pled guilty in the federal racketeering cases. However, there are still more defendants tied to the case who are scheduled to go to trial this September.

According to TMZ, Tekashi and his attorneys hope that all the other defendants will also take deals and avoid trial altogether.

If the trial is called off, Tekashi’s attorney, Dawn Florio, says he will ask a judge to grant 6ix9ine time served. Tekashi has been behind bars since November. If the judge grants his request, the 22-year-old rapper could walk free because he’s fulfilled his obligations as part of his agreement for cooperating with authorities.

It may be a long shot. Only one of the other defendants has filed a motion to dismiss the charges, but Florio is hopeful a plea deal could happen at any time.

6ix9ine is facing 47 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to nine federal charges.
