Headline Heat: Kenya Moore Talks THAT Messy #WWHL Shade Trade With Quad & ‘Boring’ Marlo Hampton

Kenya Moore Talks THAT Messy #WWHL Shade Trade With Quad & ‘Boring’ Marlo Hampton

Kenya Moore is breaking down what really went down on that episode of “Watch What Happens Live” when she and Miss Quad got into it. As previously reported a shade trade happened between the RHOA star and the “Married to Medicine” star that left viewers befuddled.

It was later revealed that Kenya didn’t appreciate comments Quad made alongside Sheree Whitfield and Quad received Kenya’s comments and apologized for the alleged shade.

Yesterday Kenya further broke down the issue to BOSSIP and confirmed that it was the Sheree assisted moment that upset her.

“She’s agreeing with all this shade, she’s saying not nice things about me, in particular, she agreed with a situation about my mom not wanting me growing up. That’s not something you agree with if you like someone,” said Kenya.

Kenya also reaffirmed to BOSSIP that NeNe is a bully and dished on her split from Marc Daly. She also reaffirmed that she’s “bored” with Marlo Hampton and talked pettily pulling up to Marlo’s wig launch with a marching band and her line of beauty products.

“Yes I was petty, it was very shady and petty but do NOT come for me unless I send for you,” said Kenya.

She also dished on her Moore Haircare line that’s in 2200 Sally Beauty stores.

“Kim is the jokester, they call me the leader, so I’m the mom, they call me the mom,” said DeeDee Freeman. “Monique is the one who’s a little bit more detailed. She doesn’t miss anything, she’s always on point asking and answering the right questions.”

Real Talk Kim also joined in and told BOSSIP that powerhouse Jewel Tankard is all about growing and financial responsibility.

“Jewel is always trying to grow, every conversation will go back to making money,” said Kim of the Millionairess. “All she hears is money signs. H’ourdovers to make money, do it this way!”

The ladies also shared with BOSSIP that they hope women in particular gain “hope” from their popular programming. Monique Idlett Mosley, in particular, wants the show to highlight women unapologetically living their truth.

#CapCityXmas19: HBCU Grads To Flood Washington D.C. For Annual Cause

A number of HBCU grads will ascend on Washington D.C. again for an annual cause. The Capital City Christmas Classic heralded as the Capitol’s BIGGEST and BEST annual benefit party is returning for year NINE, and even though the curators expect nearly 1000 guests this year, the foundation of giving back and “FUNdraising” still hasn’t changed.

For the second consecutive year, the Capital City Christmas Classic will donate proceeds to a foundation dedicated in remembrance of three fallen HBCU friends as part of the SVGS Foundation.

With a mission to empower, educate and encourage deserving and committed African American male scholars to attend Historically Black College and Universities, the foundation was founded in remembrance of three HBCU classmates who passed away in fall 2009, spring 2011, and spring 2018 respectively. SVGS stands for Seeking Visions, Gaining Success, an acronym and phrase that the friend group often bonded over through college and in the immediate years after.

With help from the 2018 event and a generous donation from Charlamagne the God earlier this year, the foundation was able to grant $1,000 scholarships to three aspiring HBCU students, now finishing up their first semester of school.

“CapCityXmas is the epitome of making “FUNdraising”,” says Mark Williams Capital City Christmas Classic creator, and SVGS President. “Over the years, we’ve built it from being a meaningless house party, to being the cities most anticipated Holiday party of the year. As we grew in our careers, we felt compelled to make the event more about giving back to our community, and less about just turning up for the holidays. In the past the event benefited the likes of Toys 4 Tots and the HBCU foundation.”

It doesn’t get more D.C. than a building named after one of the city’s most well-known and iconic figures, as this year’s turn-up fundraiser takes place at the historic Duke Ellington School of Arts.

It includes an open bar option sponsored by Courvoisier, plus vibes from the DMW area’s 93.9 WSKYs DJ Schemes and DJ Malcolm Xavier, the traditional holiday sweater contest and more special surprises.

Creative Class: Everything’s Just Peachy In The World Of Tech For Tanya Sam

Creative Class

Source: iOne Digital Creative / Creative Class

Name: Tanya Sam

Occupation: Entrepreneur

Location: Atlanta

How We Know Her: Last fall Tanya’s face hit small screens around the world when she made her debut on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” A friend of the show, she dazzled Bravo viewers with her Canadian class and charm, moreover, she proved to be a refreshing RHOA addition who beautifully blended showcasing her personality with displaying integrity.

Why We Chose Her: Before, during and after the cameras stop rolling Tanya’s true to her tech-money game. She’s a venture capitalist in the tech sector with a focus on helping startups. Not only that, we absolutely admire how this brainy beauty is introducing tech to a new audience. Polished, poised and perspicacious, it really is Tanya’s time.

What’s Next: A little more television and a lot more money are both in Tanya’s front view. She’s hyper-focused on helping women of color get in the game and we’re kicking back and watching her work.

IG: @itstanyatime

Tanya Sam’s life as a businesswoman, Tech Square Labs Director and reality TV star is just peachy. The brainy beauty is confirmed for her second season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” as a friend of the show. She recently confirmed to fans that she turned down an offer from Bravo for a fulltime position and instead will focus on her multiple businesses.

And while Tanya told BOSSIP that “balance is overrated”, she’s still trying to maintain some sort of equilibrium hence why’s she’s not picking up one of Andy Cohen’s coveted peaches. Instead of dedicated hundreds of hours to Bravo cameras, this nurse turned tech venture capitalist will continue in her role as Director of Partnerships at TechSquare Labs, a technology startup hub that’s invested in over 30 companies, raised over $300 million dollars in venture capital and generated over $100 million dollars in revenue.

She has an unbridled passion for tech and TechSquareLabs feeds that. Established in 2014 and located in an Office Depot in the heart of Georgia Tech’s campus, Tanya’s especially proud of the hub she says helps early-stage donors realize that they can “build something from nothing.” With that in mind, Tech Square Lab has invested in seven of the annual Atlanta Startup Battles, a pitch competition that awards $100,000 cash investment to a winning startup.

That’s not all, however, Tech Square Labs has also invested in Ascend Atlanta, a program to grow inner city business schools and business service-providing organizations in Atlanta, and Tanya is especially passionate about Ascend Atlanta’s work with women of color and minorities.

According to Tanya however, being a black woman in tech isn’t exactly easy. While we don’t see much representation in the field, Tanya is encouraging fellow black women to explore all the tech has to offer from coding to marketing.

“It’s about getting involved in the technology ecosystem; going to Tech Saure Labs, going to meetups, going to pitch competitions, any type of networking event. You really have to stick your neck out, stick your hand out, introduce yourself,” Tanya told BOSSIP.

“Oftentimes you can’t let the fact that ‘there aren’t a lot of people that look like me at these meetups deter you—you just have to blaze a trail for yourself and get involved. One of things I hear a lot is ‘I’m not technical, my background is not in technology, I don’t know how to code—there’s an easy fix to that, there are so many online learn to code programs and on the other side there are so many roles that don’t require you to be technical. There’s operations expertise and marketing expertise, Uber doesn’t just run on coders, there are hundreds of thousands of employee that do everything else and make the magic happen.”

Tanya Sam is the perfect blend of someone who’s trending in pop culture but still extending a helping hand to the community; did we mention that she also founded BuiltxWomen, a six-month pilot that offers part-time co-working space out of TechSquare Labs and hands-on mentorship from successful entrepreneurs for Black and Latina women.

All the while Tanya’s handling business and making entertaining television on Bravo she still exudes elegance and grace, two traits many non-scripted stars simply can’t relate to.

Copiously creative and exuding class, we’d be absolutely remiss NOT to welcome Tanya Sam to the Creative Class.
