Dame Dash has found himself on a list he clearly doesn’t want to be on as the year comes to a close. The 48-year-old film producer has been struggling to pay back his debt for some time now, previously getting arrested for his failed child support payments and at one point reports suggested that he wasn’t able to pay back a $2,000 bill. Page Six now reports that Dame has come in at #40 on the list of New York’s top 250 delinquent taxpayers of 2019.

Dame is no rookie to the list having been placed on the round-up in 2007, 2012 and 2015 with his estimated debt sitting at over $2 million. “My income streams have all been garnished … and it is very difficult to address the mounting bills until I receive some relief from the courts,” Dame previously stated of his financial state.
Back in November, Dame was arrested for not paying $400,000 in child support and NYC Sheriff Joseph Fucito said they’ve been looking to get him locked up since 2015.
“Like sh*t, if I am going to jail and not get out then that’s a problem. It wasn’t for no sex offender, or no raping, or dumb s–t. It was a warrant — they wanted that picture, but I looked good.” Dame said of his arrest after he was released. “Who cares about being in handcuffs? It is a part of the game, but I walked right out.”
Antonio Brown hasn’t been acting all that normally this year. The football player is currently looking at a a suspension of anywhere between six games to a whole season over claims of misconduct. Despite this, he has already career paths he’s looking to pursue such as music. Now, music and social media go hand-to-hand these days and given his wild antics on the Internet, he’s readying to get into kickstarting his career as a musical artist.
It appears as though his first project will be titled, No More White Woman 2020. Odd title, indeed, but apparently, that’s the most fitting title for his upcoming project with Sean Kingston. He first tweeted the title last week before going on his Instagram Story requesting for “20 beautiful white woman for a photo shoot for my new album #Nowhitewoman2020.”
Sure, most people are laughing at his antics but one person who’s deeply concerned by it is Jim Jones. The Dipset rapper slid in the comments to Antonio Brown’s campaign flyer for “No More White Woman 2020” and expressed his thoughts on the matter.
“I love you bro but u puttin urself in a bad box and U got everyone watchin most important [the] kids are watchin,” Jones wrote in the comment section of the post. “[Their] super man act strange u wat better than this take a trip for a month and wusa bro love u.”

It’s been over a year since the shocking arrest of Tekashi 6ix9ine and the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. For the entirety of the year, many have been curious about the outcome of the case, especially after he took the stand. There’s been speculation regarding whether or not 6ix9ine would walk or not with many anticipating his release as early as tomorrow. Though that isn’t certain, his cooperation with the feds will likely play a large role in his sentencing.
According to TMZ, two victims have sent impact statements to the judge hoping to keep Tekashi 6ix9ine behind bars for the crimes he committed. The two individuals described a robbery in NYC that occurred in April 2018 that was intended for Rap-A-Lot Records and J. Prince. However, neither one of the people were connected to Rap-A-Lot, so they said in their statements. Apparently, they were just publicists that were mistakenly identified as Rap-A-Lot associates.
“I was targeted by Tekashi69 but the whole thing was a sad case of mistaken identity,” the publicist wrote. “As a result of this entire ordeal, I have suffered greatly from mental anguish and emotional distress… I have had a difficult time getting past the incident suffering from what we believe is post-traumatic stress disorder.”
Another victim, the publicist’s 33-year-old assistant, who echoed the sentiment, added, “Please think about me and think about my life when you sentence this person. Why should this person, who nearly ended my life, be free when I am not free?”

South African actress Charlize Theron is best known for her roles in Atomic Blonde, Long Shot, Mad Max, Gringo and many more and only recently has the actress opened up in detail about her upbringing with an alcoholic father whose life was cut short when he attempted to shoot and kill his family. The 44-year-old chatted with NPR’s Fresh Air podcast about her days growing up in South Africa and opened up about her mother killing her father as an act of self-defense after he fired three times, while they hid behind a door in 1991.

“My father was so drunk that he shouldn’t have been able to walk when he came into the house with a gun,” she explained. “My mom and I were in my bedroom leaning against the door because he was trying to push through the door.
“So both of us were leaning against the door from the inside to have him not be able to push through. He took a step back and just shot through the door three times,” she added. “None of the bullets ever hit us, which is just a miracle.”
Charlize’s mother, Gerda, grabbed her gun and fired back as a way to protect her and her daughter, killing her now late husband. “This family violence, this kind of violence that happens within the family, is something that I share with a lot of people,” she said. “I’m not ashamed to talk about it, because I do think that the more we talk about these things, the more we realize we are not alone in any of it.
“I think, for me, it’s just always been that this story is about growing up with addicts and what that does to a person.”
It is officially the holiday season, or at least it has been ever since late November. As most people get ready to unwind before we head into a new decade, gatherings are bound to happen with, hopefully, an abundance of food, liquor, and weed. But what accompanies that trio better than music?
For anyone who’s trying to turn up this holiday season, we at HotNewHipHop got you with a playlist filled with a little something for every kind of hip-hop fan. OG holiday anthems such as Run-DMC’s “Christmas In Hollis,” and Kurtis Blow’s “Christmas Rappin'” were essential inclusions as were Quad City DJ’s “What You Want For Christmas” with The 69 Boyz and K-Nock and “Santa Claus Goes Straight To The Ghetto,” by Nate Dogg and Snoop, Outkast’s “Players Ball,” among many others. Of course, it wouldn’t be a hip-hop Christmas playlist in 2019 without “Christmas In Harlem” by Kanye West, CyHi The Prynce, and Teyana Taylor. We also got some heat from A$AP Twelvyy, Jim Jones, Gucci Mane, Jacquees, TLC, and more. Although “Futsal Shuffle 2020” isn’t a “holiday song,” we figured everyone was trying to get the dance down pat before the new years.

If you were a conscious human being in 2007, you are all-too-familiar with Mims’ “This Is Why I’m Hot”. The song took over radio and trickled out of flip phones in poor quality as it became one of the most popular ringtones of the era. Unfortunately, Mims experienced one of those quick rise and falls that have occurred throughout the history of the music industry. BET’s new web series FindingBET explores hip hop’s one-hit wonders, allowing the artists to tell their side of the story.
After having J-Kwon discuss life after “Tipsy” and Chingy discuss life after “Right Thurr”, BET enlisted Mims to discuss life after “This Is Why I’m Hot”. In the new 20-minute episode, the Washington Heights rapper details his signing and subsequent relationship with Capitol Records around the time he released that hit. While Mims compliments some of the people he dealt with at the label, he also describes a classic instance of a label exerting too much control over their rising artists and ultimately steering them wrong. He remembers being forced into featuring his face on the cover of his debut album next to a building from The Projects. He didn’t feel this image suited his identity, but went along with it anyway.
Watch the video below to hear Mims’ piece together the “fastest period of [his] life”, during which “everything was a blur.”
Kanye West’s mind works in mysterious, and often grandiose ways. And damned if it isn’t working so far. Not long after launching his first-ever opera Nebuchadnezzar, which premiered on November 24th, Yeezy wasted little time in setting up his second effort. Over the weekend, the mogul unveiled Mary, his brand new opera directed by longtime collaborator Vanessa Beecroft. Now, he’s coming through for a repeat performance, this time bringing the production to New York City.

Like its predecessor, Mary takes on a biblical theme, with its narrative centering around the birth of Jesus Christ. A press release cites that the Books of Matthew and Luke are the basis for Mary’s story, and likely served as a primary source of inspiration. Once again, Mary will feature original music performed by the Sunday Service Choir. The event, which promises to combine the worlds of “opera, fine art, modern dance, and gospel music,” is set to premiere at the Lincoln Center on Sunday, December 22nd.

Somewhere along the road, Post Malone transformed from that corny white dude who sang “White Iverson” to a global musical phenomenon who goes platinum on every single one of his releases, sells out arena tours, tops charts, and makes millions of dollars. The Texas-raised rapper is nothing short of a success story. His last three studio albums have been extremely successful with Hollywood’s Bleeding being named the biggest album of the year after surpassing three billion streams. To put that in perspective, the album has only been out for three months. That’s a billion streams per month. Only one word can describe that feat: Wow. No pun intended. The recording artist tends to update his social media pages with photos from his performances and generic pictures taken by his photographer. Today, he flipped the script and posted a glamorous selfie to show off his abundant amounts of personality.

When we were first getting to know Post Malone, we weren’t quite sure what to make of him. Now that he’s truly embraced himself as a human and as an artist, we’ve grown to love him for the quirkiness he presents in his sound and image. This photo is perfectly representative of what Post Malone is all about. Face tattoos, black nail polish, a cigarette between his fingers, necklaces and a band in his hair that reads “Call Me.” That’s who Post Malone is and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We love you, Posty. Check out his latest upload below.
Chance the Rapper continues to take steps towards establishing a career in comedy. After performing a stand-up set at Chicago’s Laugh Factory, he mentioned on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he’s interested in pursuing stand-up as a profession. He then proved his skills when serving as host for a hilarious Halloween episode of Saturday Night Live. Now, Chance was selected to sub in for James Corden, as The Late Late Show host went on vacation.
On Monday night, Chance stepped out to perform the customary opening monologue. The pressure to fill Corden’s shoes may have gotten to him because he feigned a British accent to sound more like him. After the Chicago-native was told he could ditch the accent, he continued on with his jokes about current events. Chance also spearheaded a segment that involved asking random people on the street to cry for $100. One participant in particular got really into it and made Chance so uncomfortable that he forked over $200. Chance closed out the show with a performance of his song, “Roo” alongside his brother, Taylor Bennett. Ken Jeong will be taking over for Corden on Tuesday night’s episode of Late Late.
This week, Chance cancelled his upcoming arena tour in support of his debut album, The Big Day, in order to work on new music and spend time with his family.
Lil Fizz and his ex Moneiece Slaughter have been at odds for as long as we can remember. Things first kicked off when Moniece expressed some frustrations with Fizz dating Apryl Jones, leading to a whole heap of drama and Twitter reactions based on the duos coupling since Omarion (Fizz’s former B2K member) is Apryl’s ex and baby mother. The latter of individuals are current and former cast members on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and at the recent reunion, Fizz and Moniece got into it again.

Moniece detailed how her issues don’t really have anything to do with Apryl but rather Fizz not taking her mental health seriously. “I need you to step in as the person, who f*cked me and got me pregnant, and was supportive of having a baby because I don’t feel right,” she said, as per The Shade Room. “I don’t ask you to take care of me, I just really needed support for the baby. So don’t sit here and constantly down me when I”m saying I’m in a bad space emotionally.”
Fizz then suggested that she give up custody of their son Cameron if she’s having such a hard time while he asked her to take some accountability in the matter. “You want to take full accountability? Be fully accountable that you are not mentally right, and that you can’t be a parent on your weeks, so you want me to take our child,” he said.
We’ll have to see how this all plays out.
Boosie Badazz, formerly known as Lil Boosie, basically lives his life as one long live-stream session. The man is constantly going live for his followers, letting them into his daily routine and generally just being outlandish for his audience. Unfortunately, he was the victim of a recent robbery when his car was broken into, resulting in $70K worth of jewelry being taken from the vehicle. Before that happened, he nearly found himself in some trouble at the gas station before he escaped narrowly, just missing an angry gas station clerk who surely realized that the rapper had driven off with the gas pump after smoking a little bit too much weed.

Have you ever gotten so high that you forget what you’re doing at that current moment? Boosie Badazz can relate. The Baton Rouge recording artist was recently filming himself as he lit up a fat blunt, taking away the stress of the day while filling up his car’s tank. Somehow, he forgot that he was at the gas station before pulling off with the pump still attached to his whip though, disconnecting the applicator and realizing shortly thereafter. “Oh man, I took the fucking thang out,” exclaims Boosie hilariously before getting out, taking it out of his car and driving off in a speedy manner.
As some people in the comments have noted, gas pumps are usually magnetically connected, which prevents any sort of damage in case you get too high and try to drive off with it. Thus, Boosie is probably in the clear. Now, he’s just got to get his jewelry back.
